Behind every audio masterpiece there is a powerful application that can record instruments and voice, with the possibility to further process sound in order to make the result as clean as possible. AudioScore Ultimate is one such application and lets you record from devices connected to your computer and convert sound to midi notes.
In case your machine is not fitted with a microphone or you don't posses an instrument, one of the main features of the application allows you to import files from your hard disk drive and have them converted to midi notes.
These are then displayed in parallel with the original file and notes can be carefully adjusted. The same goes for when sound is being recorded, only notes are placed while the session is active.
Once you are happy with modifications, hitting the “Transcribe” button brings up a score filled with previously managed notes. Additionally, a keypad puts all musical symbols at your disposal that you can place on the score.
At any given moment you are able to play your creation in order to figure out whether it is ready or it needs just a little more effort.
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that AudioScore Ultimate gives you the possibility to create an audio work of art using MIDI instruments. It takes a little getting used to due to the slightly difficult design. However, given the option to load audio files and have them converted, as well as powerful editing tools make it a reliable application.
