Automatically Log Your IP Address Over Time is a small piece of software that logs external and internal IPs at various time intervals.
Such a tool might come in handy if you want to remotely connect to other machines with the help of the IP. However, some ISPs provide dynamic IPs, and keeping track of ever-changing values might not be an easy task.
Once installed, the application should log both the internal and the external IPs. The time interval at which the app should log the information is provided in the tab located under the activity console.
The intervals can be set starting with a one seconds pause up to 24 hours. The app provides 12 timing options, but they cannot be customized, only selected.
Furthermore, the tool does not only display the IP in its console, but it also should create a backup text document with all the information. The path of the doc can be found (and modified) under the Log File field. Also, this operation can be blocked by hitting the Turn Off Automatic Log.
To conclude, this application can be used to keep a keen eye on a machine’s IP addresses, as the process is mostly automatic and does not require your constant attention throughout the day.
