Though it’s not a very common situation, you may sometimes need to create an HTML file that contains a list of files from a particular Windows folder. This can be useful if you wish to display your files as a webpage of sorts in order to show it to someone else or access said files directly from your browser.
There are a few programs that allow you to do this, including the suggestively titled Create HTML List Of Files In Folders Software. This particular application features a simplistic but clear interface, where the options are more than visible. Remember that while it can create a list of files (and their respective paths), you won’t also get actual lists of folders.
First you must add the directories containing the files that you want listed to the program’s interface. You can also load folders from text files, or sample data in order to test the program. You can add filters so that the application detects only certain file extensions in those folders.
The next step is to start creating a list. Here you can also customize how your page will look, by changing the font style, size and color, and also the background color. Finally, you can save your list as an HTML file.
Cheers!
