Managing and transferring database contents from one format to another or one DBMS to another in order to achieve better interoperability can be quite challenging, especially in the context of such an abundant diversity of such formats and database types. The process can become even more complex, when wanting to migrate such data from one live server to another, therefore mandating the requirement of specialized software, such as SysTools SQL Server Migrator.
Just as its name aptly suggests, this application was designed in order to allow users to migrate their SQL Server database tables, objects, and corresponding schema, from one database to another. This is available for both online, as well as offline applications, in which case the transfer is performed via MDF files to live SQL Servers, and vice-versa.
Furthermore, SQL, transcript files are also supported as export targets, and users can select for the export output to either contain or, if not required, omit the database schema altogether. During the export process, the application offers users the option to create a new database into which the contents of the selected one are to be migrated, and a dedicated, advanced mode, also enables one to scan and repair all database damage.
