TAdvComboBox is a Delphi component that will enable you to create enhanced combo boxes. To put it simply, thanks to the library you can design etched or simple flat combo drop-down button, and you can customize your project by modifying the focus border, focus border color, focus color. Moreover, if you prefer, you can create a borderless combo box display and even attach labels.
Without denying that drop-down menus come with manifold benefits, there are circumstances when they can be quite inconvenient, especially when they are implemented into worksheet cells and similar elements. First off, since the menus are dependent on the cell's width so that means you need to adjust their size or merge several cells for obtaining the desired results. A drop-down menu basically sits on top of the worksheet and is not dependant on any other element's size.
A further noteworthy advantage of a drop-down menu is that the data does not have to be saved to the cell. When you create a form control to a given cell, it just displays the item selected from a drop-down list without storing any data in it. Without the menu, all entries need to be saved in their corresponding cell.
