WCFStorm.Rest is a piece of software designed to help users test REST services fast and easy, which can result in accelerated development of new projects.
The application comes with an easy-to-use, straightforward interface, which allows users to access its various capabilities with only a few mouse clicks.
Thus, the testing of a REST service can be performed in a matter of seconds, though all depends on the specific information that users want to view.
The tool has been built with support for a wide range of requests, including GET, PUT, POST, DELETE, HEAD and OPTIONS HTTP, while also being capable of allowing users to combine their tests into projects.
With the help of this utility, users can compare actual and expected responses line-by-line, and can also save/load HTTP requests to/from file.
The application allows users to run performance tests on their websites or webpages, while also providing them with the possibility to configure various parameters of these tests and to create test reports.
The program offers support for auto-ploting of response time and for syntax highlighting for HTTP Headers, and also allows users to create their own cookies, or to edit/delete already existing ones. Scripting support has been included in the software as well.
During our testing, we noticed that the application can deliver fast performance and that it does not require a large amount of system resources for that. However, the utility became unresponsive when we tried to generate a performance report, and we had to force-close it.
All in all, WCFStorm.Rest can easily prove a good option for users interested in performing REST service testing as fast and as simple as possible. Although it could become unstable sometimes, the program offers a wide range of testing options, as well as support for different request types and for X509 certificates.
