XindeX is one of the tools that many book writers might be looking for, allowing them to generate book indexes for their texts. Aside from ease of use and an intuitive feature set, other major advantages are the automatic management of the index order and the instant synchronization of the page numbers.
Designed for a smoother usage experience, the toolbox of XindeX comprises a large number of buttons which might seem overwhelming at first. However, the learning curve is not steep at all and, with the help of the hovering tooltips and the built-in tutorial, you should feel comfortable using the application in no time.
The working area is split into several panels, some of which are editable fields. Once you save your new project, you can move on to creating a main entry in your index and assign it the corresponding page numbers. Entries in the index can be easily organized in a structured manner: each entry can have siblings and multiple children.
The text should be edited exactly as you want it to be displayed in the output (e.g. bold, italic, etc.), while page numbers are automatically arranged by the application if not in order, all to ease your work.
As you type text in the term editor, you will notice that XindeX offers numbered suggestions for the word. In fact, the application comes with built-in dictionaries for different English-speaking countries, but it also stores a custom dictionary of terms that you instruct it to remember.
One major plus is that all the entries in the index are automatically sorted based on certain rules, which saves you the trouble of having to do this yourself. However, special terms (for instance, terms with combined numbers and letters) must be configured manually.
The main window enables you to easily jump throughout the index, manage cross-references, bookmark entries, check the spelling, and take notes. Furthermore, you can filter terms, pages, noes, and cross-references on various criteria, as well as manage all the groups of terms.
XindeX Crack can be used to generate book indexes without too much effort, as it manages to handle tasks that would otherwise take time and be rather difficult when done manually. Indexes are stored in XIX files, but can be exported to various formats or printed on paper.
Alongside a writing assistant, XindeX can complete the toolbox of a professional writer and editor by adding a full-featured book index generator.
